November Lineart Contest - Snowflakes/1920's

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 9, 2012, 7:49 AM

The :iconcolor-me-club: Presents:

The November "Snowflakes/1920's" Lineart Contest

Last week, a number of you voted on what the next theme should be, and there is a tie as of posting!  Snowflakes and The 1920's are in a dead heat, so we frankly have no choice but to run with both!  So now you can either submit a lineart about snowflakes, a lineart about the 20's, or you can even mix them together for a jazzy swingin' vintage flapper snowflake voting at a speakeasy!  Note that the snowflake can also mean a number of things, including snowy scenes with falling snowflakes, or warm interiors with snowflakes descending down a window.  If it somehow utilizes one of those two themes (or both if you really want to embrace the spirit) then it is a legitimate entry!  As long as it gets people creating, then the contest is a success.

Of course, metaphorical success is also totally boring.  So let's throw some tangible success into the mix.

PRIZES.

:bulletyellow: 1000 dA Points from vest
:bulletyellow: 2,000 dA Points from the color-me-club (Go to CMC-Donations to donate to the prize pool)

If you'd like to donate a prize, use the donation widget on :iconcmc-donations:.  Donors to that prize pool will be featured in the color-me-club journal.  Donors of 50 points or more will also get a three-thumbnail feature in the color-me-club journal.

HOW IT WORKS.

The contest is simple.  Just draw a black and white lineart of an image that reflects the "Snowflakes/1920's" theme.  Remember, it doesn't have to mesh the themes, you're really just being extended the opportunity to choose one or the other.  You know...to make it more inclusive.

Deadline is on December 1st.

Then, a three-day long voting period will be held between December 1st through the 4th.

I'M DONE WITH THE LINES.  NOW WHAT?

Once you have completed your black and white lineart entry, submit it to your DeviantArt gallery.  Then, send the color-me-club a note.  The note should be titled "NOVEMBER LINEART CONTEST ENTRY," and the note needs to contain a [link] to your black and white lineart.

ANY SPECIAL RULES?

A few.

By contributing your lineart to this contest, you automatically agree to the rules listed herein, and give permission to the color-me-club to showcase your artwork in the color-me-club journal.

Only one entry per deviant.

Entries must be dated no earlier than November 1st, 2012.

Entries should be received by December 1st.  While we still accept entries through voting, you understand that late entries will be uploaded when the club is updated, and the artist will lose potential votes with a late entry.

The lineart must be your own.  Ripped or "sampled" lineart will be disqualified.  This includes tracing.  This does not include "referenced" images, you may use any image for reference.  As long as you don't trace an existing image directly, you're free to use any image for reference to help you create your work.

Winners of previous contests ARE allowed to participate.  There are no restraints for how often members can contribute.  The game here isn't about winning.  It's about creating.

You do not have to be a color-me-club member to participate.  This is open to the whole dA community!

Lastly, have only one artist submit the image.  Collaborative efforts are encouraged.  However, ensure the other collaborator knows the image will be submitted to the contest, and determine who will be representing the image.

Now go rummage up a dapper bit of illustrated hootnanny, you dastardly whippersnappers!

ah thanks, could you please submit a [link] to the entry in note form to the group, with the title "NOVEMBER LINEART CONTEST ENTRY"

it's the best way for us to recap and make sure we have all the entries together before voting starts.
