Oh, new thought: Perhaps keep the colored versions favorites? This would cut down on the number of images popping up in people's inboxes. Just an idea.
I might have to disagree with this, as I've suggested a number of favourites that I've done for this comm, and only 1-2 of them have ever showed up. It really makes me not want to colour deviations from this community if no one's going to see them.
The journal that contains new lineart and color versions is still going to come out (says so in the first comment on the poll), and the colored versions would still appear there. Your situation is kind of a seperate issue--If the club isn't accepting your suggestions, it's not going to show up in either location, as I imagine they probably will not go with an automatic acceptance situation in order to keep the different categories properly seperate. *shrugs*
Um, I meant more that they would choose a non-automatic system to keep the lineart categories properly arranged, which means they would be approving all entries personally, which means that for whatever reason they chose not to enter your works into the favorites, they would also not enter it into a color gallery either.
One can always hope the reason was a matter of error, though. I can't really make any judgement on the situation--or even guess--as I have neither seen your art nor know the motives of the mods.
I think it might be a good idea to go with submissions from now on, now that the stacks option makes things much easier to deal with. I think it was very courteous of you guys to find a way to make it work without flooding inboxes, though, so the old system makes sense too. ^^ One reason I think submissions would be better is I imagine the current system requires a lot of time and effort on the part of the moderators... sure, with submission's you'd still have to troll the folders and make sure everything was put in the right place. Unless you want to go with a system where you have to approve entries--still less work than the current system, though. Less work = happier mods.
I say you should open it back up because if people get tired of getting so many submissions in their stacks, they can edit that, so that they are still watching the groups but they don't get the deviation stacks. I do like the journals though, i'm glad that isn't changing.

With the new 'stacks' option it's easier to organize the new posts.
