Have you donated to the Red Cross Haiti Relief fund?

226 deviants saidYep. Just text 'Haiti' to the number 90999, and ten dollars will be added to your phone bill, which will be donated to the Red Cross Haiti relief fund.
Yeah, no option for no, either, so just going to comment.
I'm really broke due to Christmas, and I wish the best for them, but I'm a single mother, so $10 is a lot to me. It can be the difference between him having shoes or not. I try to give a dollar when I have it, but I do donate blood to the red cross on a constant basis, due to having a rare blood type. That's something that can't be bought, so maybe putting other ways to help out would be nice?
Not that I get offended by stuff like this - if I had, I would have deleted and ignored. I feel awful for what's happened, but maybe my blood can save a kid's life, whereas my money, which I need for my own child, wouldn't have. We were really scared when it happened, due to all the 2012 hype - my kid watched the movie and is young, so... I dunno. We just have to hope for the best.
I'd recommend adding more than one option for future polls, even if they're variations of things you can donate, just to not annoy people (not me, but I read the other comments). I actually do answer most polls in case someone really needs an opinion, but I didn't have any option that says Yes, I donated by giving blood to the Red Cross. The news is so sad. D=
The Red Cross receives the donation. When they receive the text, the Red Cross will bill your provider for $10, and your provider then passes the bill on to you. It is available to all phone networks with texting capability.
I would, but I don't have it done yet, and I propably won't do it in the next time. I don't have even money for my regular bills and I can't pay the bill for repairing our car, which is still broken since 2 month.
Sorry guys, but still there are many many other poor pple out there, not just only those poor victims of the earth quake. (don'T get me wrong: I fell REALLY sorry for them!) But we now forget about the poor pple in africa? The poor pple in the western world which we don't like to see? The poor pple which living in slavery (most of them in sexual slavery... they're so often under age children...) and what about all the poor pple which have damn diseases like HIV or cancer and don't have money for any medicine? We're often forget about them, especially when something happens that is in the regular newspaper/news on TV. Of course I would help the pple in Haiti if I could!!!- I would like to help every poor pple in the world if I could... but unfortunately Iam just a little girl with an empty fridge, a little one who thinks she's an artist, with too many dreams- like the most of us. Face it: The "donate money!"-thing isn't this easy! But I try as often I can to play the freerice.com -"game". I guess this is a good thing- and it don't cost money for us, and I believe that this grains really reach poor hungry pple and help them.
Hi, some of us would appreciate more than one option on these things. I also do not have texting of any kind and am pretty damn poor, and do not really have enough money to donate to this cause since I just bought a computer, even though it is a very terrible thing.

Also, you could have put an option for "no, but I donated clothes" or "no, but I'm planning to go myself to help build housing in the summer".
I would have chosen one of those.
